Not sure what you message you want me to give me when talking about 10 feet? But she certainly takes of on a couple of 100 feet, even when full.
Happy flying!

The 2.4 flight dynamics you said by Alexander Metzger to be ready back in Nov 2013... what is the status of an update with the incorporation of FDE V2.4?

Thanks in advance

Are you still working on the 2.4 update?

Good morning. I am really enjoying flying the AN-2. I have applied the latest airfile and ground handling is much improved.
Landing is a very quiet affair, more tire noise would be good, I'm working on this with Accufeel.

I'm not fully up to speed with the elevator trim, it seems to work itself independently, probably my fault, I'm still reading the manual. will get back to you if I cant sort it out.
If anyone else is having a problem with the elevator trim I would like to hear how you are getting round this.Update to last comment: I have assigned the elevator trim to Axis Y on my Saitek throttle. No trim issues now!

This is a very nice aeroplane at a very reasonable price!

I have just purhased this great addon, since I did not have good enough PC for FSX. I have updated the air file, but now when I load the plane a window opens declaring that an update is available. When I click yes, the air file is rverted back to v2.1. I that normal behaviour?

Here's what to do. Reinstall the 2.3 air file etc. Then go to: Wherever your FSX is\Sibwings. Inside there are several folders. Rename Updates to Updates_OFF or something. That should get rid of the nag. I can't see that there will be any more updates to it so no loss there.
Computer: Black box with a bunch of electrical looking stuff inside. Lots of fans and blue lights and it sits there humming away gently and lets me play games on it.

There's some kind of error in update files, either air or aircraft.cfg, FSX doesn't startup with plane. Common, Sibwings, you guys made a good model plane, how much time it takes to fix the brake lever logic, UGR course & attitude knob, and engine MP. I'm not even mentioning the adf ident off option. Where is update, we paid you for support in case something's missing, now flying X-Plane 10 RedEyes An-2.

About as much use as a fart in spacesuit, your post:
"FSX doesn't start up" - be more specific
OS, sim variant, error message, detailed description of what the hell you are talking about, that kind of thing.

There is no error in update files. So what is going wrong is down to you or your sim - or more likely YOU and your sim.

Perhaps you might actually post something useful - or at the very least read the other topics in this forum.

The product has not been supported for a number of years. It is not intended for FSX-SE.
Other issues can result from correct entries in certain .dll files. What update? The only reference to an update was a social media image showing a floatplane, so cite your sources for any expected update.

3 posts since joining 2 years ago suggests this isn't of any importance to you, so why not crawl back into the woodwork you came from if you can't be bothered to present your difficulty in a form anyone can understand? Enjoy your X-Plane.

All of these require some kind of intelligence from the user.

Please show some.

Hi Folks! I just registered with Sibwings after I bought my first Sibwing aircraft, (the AN-2). I haven't even installed it yet and after I completed the registration process, I saw this thread.

Therefore, I'd like to know if this new FDE, (well, not so "new" because I see it was back in June 2016), is already in the latest download version of the AN-2 or if I should replace the present FDE file that came with the download, with the one in this thread?

As I said, I haven't even installed the AN-2 so assuming that the Beta FDE in this thread isn't already in the latest AN-2 download, I suppose I should probably try the plane with the FDE that it came with first. Then I could compare it with this one.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to giving this very cool looking bi-plane a whirl somewhere around the Aleutian Islands!
Thanks,
Rich
