when will the link for paint kit and repaints be active ?

In some hours, some patience please. I want to connect it with extra liveries, beside it will be different kits for S1 and S2 'cause model are different.

Just between us, while we do some html job - Paint kit for S-1 is lying here: http://sibwings.com/freeware/pitts/swpi ... kit_s1.zip
Please, one more, texture layout have some difference, this is not suitable for S-2 even not for S-1S, for S-1 only!
S-1S and S-2 Paint kits in progress, will be available at Monday I think

Hello GAJIT!

Looking good! I Just can advice to make seams on fin bit more close to main color.
Besides it was small issue in uv (attention to low left aileron on the screen) - Already fixed in 1.01 version, you can just download it via link in purchase letter (no reactivation needed)

As for all the other (S-2 i mean), we found some mistakes in model, and decide to fix them before publishing paint kit (not to make repainters fix their work), I think it will takes not more then a week.

I just cant remove the colour from the "details" layer or adjust. Im not sure what to do. Any advice?

Is it something to do with bump mapping? If so i cant continue as im not that good.

Also how can you change the paint in the VC to match the colour outside?

since last posting i have found that the details layer works OK and can be used in the S1 version so that the stiching appears below the colour layers. But - on the S1S it cannot be placed below any colour as it gets obsured/disappears.

I think i will start an S1 paint until the S1S can be sorted.

It must be me then or photoshop. I have found that i can get the seams on the tail to work under a colour but they just disappear on the wing PSD and i cannot fund a way of removing the white look.

I hope that made sense. All i know is that the issue does not happen with other paintkits.

Ahh, if I got you right - please try to use different properties for seams layer. Picture should explain:

I have played with the soft light on the layers and find that if i match the colours on texture 1 with texture 2 - the seems disappear completely on the tail.

The softlight, if it is not darkened, changes all the colour of each layer so its very difficult to use appropriately.

Is there an easy answer? Im getting bored with the paint kit - is anyone else managing to paint with it other than me?

Soft light was just example, try all and choose best

Up to you - you may merge together any layers you want and paint them together (with color balance or hue\saturation)
Anyway separated layers is more ways to use paint kit, then only layer isn't it ?
