Safir fly in in Gothenburg 2007

Hello,

We are allmost a month further in time.

Any news on the date?
I have to plan free time and book the aircraft for the date.
One weekend in May is allready taken by one of my co-owners

SF-24, OH-SFJ has went through a major overhaul and will be in Goteborg like factory new. See you there fellow Safir pilots!

The RLA is allready occupied with 2 airshows in May, namely Sunday the 20th and Monday the 28th of May.

Just for information...

It appears the HB-DBL will not be able to participate in the fly-in.

We had the engine to get repaired (chips in oil due to corrosion on tappets due to non-conserved storage before we took over the baby over...) and pulled on our financial side.
Furthermore, I had some changes in my professional life, which made me take a job that does not pay so well, so I had to use most of my financial reserves to get through, and still, - in the near future - there is no light to be seen at the end of the tunnel...

I'm sorry, I would have loved to get to know you guys personally...

Hi guys,

it is our intention to attend, sorry to hear that beautiful HB-DBL is unable to come at this time. Btw, I have an year old (Feb 06) Finnish aviation magazine "Ilmailu" ("Aviation") right here on my table with gorgeous pictures of HB-DBL and Finnish SF-27 (OH-SFL). Daniel, hope you get your nice Safir back in air. Wishing all the luck!

I had an idea that Goteborg fly-in will take place somewhere later in summer. It is so-so if SF-24 (OH-SFJ) will be completely ready on 4.-5. May. Let's hope the best.

Have you guys been in touch with Ralph Duell, one of the guys behind the arrangement...??

Mybe Hakan Olsson at this forum already passed all information to you (I read somewhere that he is involved in the meeting...)
Otherwise, send a private message to me, and I will pass Ralph emailadress to you (or yours to him..).
The team behind the meeting will then regulary keep you informed about it...

Apart from Saab Safir flying, I am also a fanatic glider pilot.
I am member of a 4 man consortium owning 2 gliders.
This year we have a very costly 3000 hrs inspection for one of the gliders.
I have only a certain amount of Euro's available for my flying each year.
To fly from Holland to Gothenburg and back cost me about 1000 euro's.

So I am not able to come to the Saab fly in.
