How about the SAAB Safari (MFI-15) and SAAB Supporter (MFI-17)?
The MFI-15 airplanes took over the role of the Safir in Norway...and Denmark flies the MFI-17 version...and Pakistan and Oman fly the Super Mushak, which is similar...
Just a suggestion.

A wonderful idea Kent !
I support your suggestion to 100 %
Maybe I can be qualified for some Beta-testing...I'm no expert on the type, I've only logged about 100 hours in it, but I volounteer if there is anything I can do for such a project.
Best regards,
Håkan

Future project is already desided and work is started, I'm sorry it's not "Safari" - I love that bird too btw, probably some day we'll do it

Morning Andrey....morning guys
...I think it is a Yakovlev 18T or a Texan :-D. Perhaps are the roots of this new projekt at home in UK. Any other possible types........Miles Magister, Fairey, a yes perhaps a Beagle, but she is not really a warbird.......nevertheless a beautiful trainingsplane. Much space for dreams....
A last question be permitted....
........It is a "doublemot" or a "singleprop"
What I tell...
...my girlfriend for the future ist the "Safir"....my only and true love. :D
(I hope my wife don´t read here in this forum :D) <escape>
Nice day for all
Regards

If any of this is correct , please let it be the Texan - i've been looking for a decent Texan for a long time, there are a few freeware texans but they don't feel right - they look ok but the feeling - nope. The hope was lit when i saw Aeroworx had one in the pipe but that project has been on hold for almost a year now
And the Texan did serve in the swedish airforce trainer (SK16) as well, before the Safir was introduced.
Well i think that this tread will draw a lot of attention, we are all curious about what you guys has hidden on the design board. So many visits to the forum will follow to see what it's

Hello guys
Yak-18 wasn't warbird ever as far as I know... and it was done so or so for several times (Suprunov design now working on hi-end version), Texan was done by Airwox as far as I know... that bird we are start working on is pretty popular all around the word, but wasn't done for FS on hi-end level, however there are couple freewere projects

so what bid it is guys, a ?

It isn't swedish btw

Speaking only for myself here - I don't want to know.
I want to be very pleasantly suprised again as I was with the Safir.
There are so few pleasant surprises left in life these days - I think it would be better not to know until the day it's out.
And there's nothing more tedious than having to plough through forums full of speculation. I've already had more than enough of that with FSX

@Hakan...
I feel so, it isn´t a singleseater....
the facts.... :-D
- not swedish
- familiar with the legendary Sibwings Saab Safir
- prop driven
- popular around the world
A type of a/c conform with the Sibwings philosophy in my opinion is perhaps.....
...............the legendary de Havilland Beaver.................
in much versions
I think the Beaver contains much potenzial for the Sibwing artists and
for the realization of a highend Model like the Saab Safir.
nice weekend for all

Thats ok......a good opinion..........you know.........enthusiasts are, from case to case, like little childs........... :D :-D

.....its not far to christmas....
But I have got my christmas present now, this month, created by sibwings....... :-D
