Saab91 and Shockwave Lights

Post by Sascha » 17 May 2008, 10:47

Hey Guys!

I have one simple question. Is there a way to add the Shockwave Landinglights on the Saab 91D ? I tried out everything, but it won?t work. As far as i can see the landinglights are not included in the aircraft.cfg. It would be cool if you can help me :)

Happy Landings,

Sascha

Hello Sascha,

Landing light effect attached to model in mdl file.
Seems to me in all FS models it's so.

Honestly I do never use Shockwave Landinglights, have no idea how are they installing... just suppouse you miss some small thing, file names\paths or so.

Hi Sascha

Follow the manual for installation, and replace the [LIGHTS] section in your aircraft.cfg with the one below - backup before to be shure not to loose it if it fails
This configuration should do the job, one thing though - both right and left landinglight are controlled at the same time if you add both Light.7 and Light.8 regardless if you choose left or right landing light switch on the electrical panel.
I'll see if i can get a hunch from the developers wich type of light they use for left vs right landing light.
One work around on this problem can be to add just one of the lines, and thereby choosing the landing light on preferred side, Lights.7 is right side and lights.8 is left

[LIGHTS]
light.0 = 3, -0.36, -17.5, 1.175, fx_S91_navred
light.1 = 3, -0.36, 17.5, 1.175, fx_S91_navgre
light.2 = 3, -15.15, 0, 6, fx_S91_navwhi
light.3 = 3, -10.8, 0, 0.2, fx_S91_navwhi
light.4 = 10, -1, 0.5, 3.1, fx_s91_vclight
light.5 = 7, 0, 0, -1, fx_s91_ultra_lamp
light.6 = 1, -9.38, 0, 2.8, fx_S91_navred
light.7 = 6, 2.00, 9.4, 0.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_small // Shockwave light
light.8 = 6, 2.00, -9.4, 0.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_small // Shockwave light

You also need to add this to your panel.cfg as per manual
gauge12=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

Good luck

Hi Sascha

I have had a discussion with the developers and they use the same effect on both sides, so for the moment is the only solution either to accept that both landing lights is lit at the same time , or just using one of the Lights.x as mentioned in my previous post.
