Some simple questions

Post by Sebastian » 25 Apr 2007, 19:13

At first, let me say, that I am more than happy with your addon, a real eye-candy with a lot of superb technical things, overall one of my all-time-FS-favorits.

Nevertheless, I still have some questions. I own the plane since two weeks, after the installation and activation I downloaded update 1 and installed it either.

1. Why is the directional compass rotating without end after the first loop?

2. Why is the aircraft jumping so much on bumpy rollways?

3. The sound is somewhat strange. I don't hear any differences between fine steps of propellor adjustments or throttle settings. After, let me say 5 - 10 percent movement of the throttle or propellor - lever, the sound changes. Then, I notice a disturbing loop sound during cruise flight, very far in the background, but after some minutes of flight it starts getting ugly.

1:Because you failed to cage the device before commencing the manoueuvre. As a resulty, you have `toppled the gyro` and must now reset it.

2: The suspension is quite soft and so you need to go really, really slow.

Can't help with 3: , sorry

Concerning 1:

Ahh, I know about the caging, but does the gyro get caged with the cage-knob on the AI? Will have a look at it soon.

Another question concerning the gyro:

The "d"-version, I mean the finnish one, seems to have no lock for the gyro. Making loops is thus not possible, maybe this version has been downgraded to non-aerobatics-category, but in this case I would like to have something like a cheat ;)

One question about illumination:

Why is the vacuum indicator in the swiss "d"-plane not illuminated?

No chance to get the compass caged in the finnish d-version? I really like the special atmosphere of this cockpit, but I also like loops and rolls!

Sebastian,

On the vacuum-indicator on the HB-DBL...

It is not lighted because...

Because it is not illuminated... ;)

Klingt zwar komisch, ist aber so... :)

Cheers,

Daniel

Another simple answer:
There was no possibility whatsoever to cage the gyros in the Finnish Safirs since they were of a compeletely different design.......

Just kidding
Use the same method as in the B model and you will be just fine

Best regards,
