VOR HB-DBL once again

Post by NOA » 24 Sep 2006, 13:15

Hi guys,

Thanks for the update!

The only thing I noticed is that the CDI indicator in HB-DBL´s VOR is wrong. For example, I select radial 090º, if I am flying from the VOR and south of the selected radial the CDI should indicate a left turn is needed but it shows a right turn as if I am north of the selected radial. It is just reversed.

Just check this VOR simulator where you can play with the plane position, radials, etc. If I can help any further just let me know please.

Yes, I can confirm the behaviour of the VOR gauge...

Sorry I didn't pick this one up earlier... just didn't get round to it on time...

And that simulator is a great tool, cheers for posting the link!

just a confirmation for future updating. THE VOR works definitely reversed. Is it only a gauge problem ? In my own installtion I could change the gauge with another VOR from the sterminate list of gauges in the gauges folder...
Is it possible?

Thanx

Franco

Hello Franco,

You can't change VOR with another because it's NOT 2d gauge. Some part of VOR is made like a 3d object.

Thanx dear Alex so, I will navigate using the VOR "bearing " in mind (hehe) that the "from - to " arrows are upside down. No problem.

One long term project : Fokker S-11 , just in case you forget to remember this ugly but interesting plane. I flew with it in the late sixties after that Italian Air Force (built under licence agreement by Aermacchi as Macchi 416 in my Country) gave them to local Aeroclubs.

PS : the SAFIR is a MASTERPIECE in FS.

Hello Elias,

Our plan is - create now D-EBED in our style - have some info from Luftgansa guys. And togather with that addition all known bugs will be fixed. I think soon we'll make public buglist to fix.

After that we'll focus on two more Team2000 and English one, and then FSX update of course, price will be rised some with is.... and after then we'll dive into Bird Dog development.

Please HELP! :) 8)

in the D model I am not able to have the NAV1 ( and consequently the VOR) working. They are dead . I undestand that the off/on command are by keybord and I assigned to NAV1 the "shift N" command but no sign of life at all. Obviously I have the battery and generator working and lights on, so this is not an electrical power problem. In the manual no way to find an answer. What can I do?

thanx

Franco,

Please be more specific: Which D-Version?

In the DBL, you switch the Nav On by:
- Switching Battery and Alternator on.
- Making sure the NAV-CB is in.
- Switching the Nav on by selecting that little switch on top of the tuning-knob. Same with the Comm, by the way...

Cheers,

Daniel
