I'm trying it out now Xeo
. A word of caution to those that have applied some of the beautiful repaints... save the aircraft.cfg portions with your additional repaints as the aircraft.cfg files are overwritten with the update. You can rename your original aircraft.cfg files and then just copy and paste the portions manually added for the repaints then delete the original renamed cfg files. Otherwise you will have to go through all the readme's for the repaints and copy and paste the cfg additions so they will show (that's what I had to do since I was in such a hurry to install the patch!).

Regards,

I can report that in HB-DBL the Omni appears to be working correctly with the to/from arrows pointing the correct direction in relation to a tuned VOR and needle tracking correctly with tuned radial. The DG continues to rotate in the wrong direction... on a compass heading of 170 the DG reads close to 180 but a turn either direction results in the DG rotating opposite the heading change and opposite the compass reading. I can also report that the Nav radio and transponder still do not respond to key commands for manual tuning, they only work with right and left mouse key presses (I believe this would also solve the transponder autotune problem). The comm radio does respond to key commands and the prior update to the gauge file resulted in that radio also responding to key commands although for it to work correctly the aircraft.cfg file needs to be set for standby frequencies when using the KY197 radio.
Regards,

Findings B-Model (swedish yellow)
The two directional gyros does still go in different directions and are still offset by 180 degrees.
Have also found that the switch "SGN LIGHT", number 5 on page 21 in the manual, works ok when switched into "STEADY" position, red strobe on the back of the safir is firm red.
But when switched into "SIGNAL" position does it spring back into "OFF" position after a few seconds and the strobe on the back is off.
The B-model still also feels much overpowered.

I'd like to get my hands on the update as well, if it's ready. Is it still in testing or is there supposed to be a general release by now?

Thanks Alex. I'll stand by, then. Or better yet, I'll fly by in my D model and just ignore the DG
.

Re: UPDATE 15.09
Hi;
I recently (on 17/12/2010) purchased (from Just Flight) the excellent Safir for fs2004. As I am looking through the forum
I saw that there were some issues e.g VOR problems, overpowered B model etc...
Could you please tell me if I need something more other than the original download????
Are those issues covered by the fresh download or do I need any fixes, update etc???
Thanks again for your wonderful product.
