Right from day one, I have been getting these strange patches of grey at ground level in locked spot view, with all paints not just the one in the attached screenshot. I am no computer expert, I get this with only the An-2. Could someone please help. :( :?:

I believe that the aircraft model has its own built in shadow and that it is
this shadow texture that is not loading in your case.
I can reproduce a similar effect by renaming the SibWings\AN2\Texture\
file and changing aircraft, although the shape underneath is then black.

The failure to load this texture might be related to your hardware or your graphics settings.
As an experiment, you could try lowering your Options\Settings\Dispay\Settings-Display\Scenery settings.
(I see you have aircraft shadows on the ground enabled, perhaps you could turn them
off and see if there is any difference.)
I occasionally see both the aircraft and shadow as grey after an aircraft
change in spot view but they fill in almost immediately.
I hope this gives you a starting point from which to find a solution.
An e mail to Sibwings support might be a good idea if you cannot find an answer
on your own.

Thanks for answer Nick, all is correct, this is build-in shadow which is visible just when airplane is on ground.
File name you appoint is correct too, author, just check that file first.
Situation on picture could happens also on very first moment of model visualization, depend on your hardware.

Thanks Guys, I turned off the "aircraft casts shadows on itself" and since than I haven't noticed the problem.
