Elevator trimmer switch

Post by Scott » 13 Jun 2013, 00:52

First off, what a great job at Sibwings for bringing this fabulous aircraft for all of us simmers to enjoy!
I'm curious about how many 'clicks' are required for some noticeable trimming effect. I've been clicking and clicking and don't seem to be getting anywhere.
I do have the breaker on and lose the green light after about 4 clicks.

Also, for some reason after start up and turning on the inverter I don't get a blue light anymore. Something with the new update?

The trim tab is driven by electric motor with very slow tab movement. You just keep the toggle pressed until you feel the load off the yoke.

I probably am struggling with this using Track IR5 as it doesn't allow me remain steady enough to hold the switch down/up this way during flight. I'll try locking my position whereby permitting me to hold it. Just to confirm......forward on switch is nose down?

Forward is Nose Down.

In reality it takes about 12 seconds from neutral to maximum. If you assign it on a button you can test it with different settings in the configuration of controls in FSX (slider position)
Happy flying!

...you can also use mouse wheel for trimmer tumblers, besides correspondent labels are clickable too (sometimes it's easy to use them)

With regards to the elevator trimming, are the trim tabs operation the wrong way round, ie to trim up (raise the nose) the tab should move down thus forcing the elevator to rise causing the tail to drop and visa versa????
