I had this message crop up acouple of weeks ago and re-installed the Birddog, which seemed to clear it. I ran Ccleaner to make sure the registry had no problems before re-installing. Everything seemed normal at first (Birddog works fine, FSX crashes 60% of the time when you exit!! ) but now the 'cannot set allocations' message is appearing again when I try to load the Birddog in free-flight. I am also getting a warning that Data Execution Prevention has shutdown Microsoft Flight Simulator to protect my computer. This can sometimes be overcome by a shutdown of the PC and restart, but most of the time I end up flying something else instead. Needless to say this is getting to be a major pain in the rear.
If anyone has any suggestions to overcome this I'd love to hear them - especially as I have very little hair to pull out (its very short, not very thin ).
