Hi!

It is awfully silent here!!! :(
No reply from administrator nor any news with regards to updates or fixes...
SibWing you have an awesome product here but although I find the support or interest is cooling off due to lack of response from you.
I would very much like other simmers to enjoy this beautiful product but with lack of interest how do you then sell it?

Also the stunning new skins that Andrey have showed us - when are they gonna be uploaded on the repaint site?
...it is just to quiet after a shocking start...

Anyway this is just my opinion and I might be hacked into small pieces for it...

Now to try to create some interest again I would like to present all of my skins - ready for release...
I will try to get them uploaded onto the Avsim webpage.
The N68VN was created on a request from Ken Peoples (USA). Ken also got in touch with the owner of this aircraft - Retired USMC Colonel Landon K. Thorne.
Colonel Thorne provided us with great closeup shots and also the history of the aircraft.
Ken Peoples and me decided to create 2 versions - one restored and owned by Colonel Thorne and one used and dirty version - straight from the combat zone in Vietnam.
The base for this skin is the Birddog_F - due to the fact of the missing OE-1 version - the version we would like to have unfortunately have skiis... so no go.

Hello mangotango,

wow, great repaints!!!!

I agree a 100% with your opion. And it's not only me. Reading through many different forums many flightsimmers are disappointed at this time.
And disappointment makes customers dissatisfied which may result in loosing customers.
I already encouraged SibWings to be more eager with their great product in my former posting "disturbing peace"
which was deleted due to some "unqualified answers" of somebody...
But up to now there is no noticeable increase of performance. And they do not let us know what causes the problems.
Anyway, like you I'm still waiting for action concerning fixes and FDE update.
I'm still hopeful but patience doesn't last forever.
I do not hope that SibWings already resigned.

Greetings
Dieter

Hi Dieter!

Thanks for the great response to my repaints. They will hopefully be available on Avsim within some days.

Yes I totally agree with your comment with regards to Sibwing "retail" channel. They are sitting on an excellent product, it truly kills the competition by lengths. So why not publish it on example Simmarket or Flight1...or wherever SibWings finds it suitable.
It will for sure give SibWings and the Bird Dog a push forward. But with that comes as well costumer service. Which I'm not sure is SibWings favourite topic - at least not at the moment.

I'm as you - hopefully and patiently waiting...

WBR,
Magnus

I will release soon 3 new Ravens skins at Avsim and Aussiex.org. Unfortunately the ones already at Aussiex.org are wrong and an update will come soon. Avsim will get them soon.
Also my "old" repaints have had an overhaul and added better gloss/reflection - my previous version never had any alpha channel.

So please check out Avsim.com and Aussiex.org - Serch Magnus Almgren and voila.

Have fun - and I'm still working on some new skins!
Thanks for using them!

Good stuff :-)
Unfortunately I have had a HDD crash and most of my PSD files were lost along with texture folders. I will most likely not redo my work, given the fact most of the repaints was meant for a model I don't have a clue when will be available. They will probably be classified "not so hi-end" anyway by the powers on this forum.

Hi, new boy here. I've been lurking here for a while and I've downloaded all these terrific 'repaints' (In my other life as a sim racer we call them skins :) ) I'm an avid skinner and like you, to me, the devil is in the detail.
I've no idea how difficult it is to preview your work in FSX but if it like anything else in the sim it's bloody difficult! Now I've noticed one particular spot that seems to get missed on a few repaints and that's the trailing edge of the right hand wing strut. I've tried to edit the dds file but it saves as a different file size and FSX simply refuses to load it. Is there a way round this?
I hate for a first post to be picky but I felt I must say something. Maybe I'm being hypercritical, because believe me, the work you've done is excellent.

/Dons tin hat. :)

Eddy, what became of Northwind with wheels? I had it, lost it and can no longer find it. It was/is one of my favourites!

EDIT: It's OK, I've found it on AVSIM

ANOTHER EDIT: But it's missing a cockpit! :(

To all the painters here a mega massive WELL DONE! They are fantastic!

I have more or less stopped both painting and simming due to an injury, but the Birddog has so many pretty dresses I just knew she was going to go to the ball. I will not be back "online" for a while still to come so I won't be able to paint much at all - possibly for a long time, even with a new Intuos pen tablet because I need to re-learn to use the right hand with as much dexterity.

But I am so damned happy to see so many wonderful new paints - and painters!

Well done and ENCORE!
