If someone can help with night photo of BirdDog panel, we'll be very

don't know how it looks like, but want to do it as real as it gets :)

Thanks!

Hello Andrey!

Whooow, what a beauty (can hardly wait for release..... )
I know one of the owners of the Norwegian L-19, LN-WNO, so I am sending him a request right now.
Hope that he can supply me with some photos. I'll let you know as soon as I get in touch with him.

Hello.
Instrument panel on ( at least one) french Birddog was "illuminated" via UV bulbs.
The breaker panel and other panels (radion, intercomm,...)have a specific variator on the breaker panel, allowing to switch on/off and adjust the light.
By day light, the markings appear white on a black background
By night, the markings appear red
Same for the front compass which is attached in front of the pilot (it is shown on some of your screenshot, but not on the one showing the instrument panel)

Congratulation,Wonderful job.
Best Regards
Didier

Well, too fast again (damn'it)
So, panel is illuminated by two lamps with UV bulbs, each lamp having its own variation/ switch system. lamps attached to the frame of the cabin.
Top compass, "side" panels (above pilot's head) and breaker panel use the same light system, activated by the variator in the breaker panel.
This is possible because of the surface of the panels, made of crystal clear material, painted in white, the over coated black, while indications are engraved and painted white. The red bulbs are fitted with a cap- so you can't see them from outside-and are "within" the thickness of the crystal panel, so when lighten, light goes through the white paint and letters turn to a "glowing" red .
Will try to find pictures !!

This is what we got with one poor photo and some fantasy. VC have three lamps which could be on separately.

Not bad up to now, although I suppose, the gauges "glow" a little bit to much... ;-)

I'm sorry, I can't help you...I've never seen a real bird dog, nor doing some night flying in one!

I've only ever done night flying in helicopters. BUT I suggest separate darker (night) textures vor the VC. Even driving a car at night, the "cockpit" is almost completely black with only the instruments lit, and if you have the red lights on, then everything should have a sick red hue and not still look like a daytime cockpit.

But still very attractive already.

Nothing to the cockpit lightning, but to the outside:

I think, your Safir X had the small "problem" that the landing lights were written in the .mdl or so and not in the aircraft.cfg
(correct me, if I'm wrong) so A2A's 3D Redux Lights couldn't be used.

Will it be possible, to use A2A Lights in the Bird Dog? I'm sure, the 3D landing lights would look pretty cool.

Hi Andrey,

I thought about these A2A lights because I've read this.

I dont't know anything about these programming...but i could imagine, that the job is not done only by adding some coordinates in the cfg...would be too easy! :smt005 ...(not my business...)

Also you can read a little over threre:

Have you done an airliners.net search using flight decks as the search option and "night" as the text entry?

There's one of a Cessna 182: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Cessna-182P/0644140/L/

And then you just need the red-light textures and white-light textures... or effects
