Changing glass transparancy on B model

I'm not that fond of the transparancy and reflections of the glass in the VC on the B model, which otherwise is my favourite bird.
How do I replace it with one from the other models?

Don't know that much about repaints, but would love to have the SE-LDD repaint as it's located on my local flight club in Kallinge.
I see it in the air ever so often :-)
I can get hold of detailed photos of it, if someone skilled could help me with the rest.

Hello!

It's possible to change VC glass transparancy by making alpha-chanel of glass texture (S91_texture07_C.dds) bit more dark.

But, honestly if you'll look into real safir photos you may notice that reflection is pretty strong and in reality too (cockpit is very open for sunlight :))

I know the cockpit is very bright IRL... as I have flown it several times. It was actually the first aircraft I ever flew.
But I think the glare on the B model is just too much. Seeing the pilot is cool, but it interfieres too much.
I would like the glass to look like the C or D model. They are much better in my eyes.

Should it not be possible to just copy and paste from one of these into the B model directory?

Yes it should work, just save old file.

Just tried it and it's not helping.
The brightness/glare/transparancy in the B model differs alot from the other models.
I copied S91_texture07_C.dds texture but all it did was to change the texture in the reflections.
It's still as bright. Should there be a differance in the models except for the texure?

I can take a picture and you can compare what I see if you want me to.

Here you ca see the differance. All settings, weather, time etc are the same

Note the reflections are much more subtile in the C model, look at the aft window and compare.

Look at the colour change between the models. B model is blueish

What do I need to change to get the same glass as the C and D model?
Appreciate your support :-)
