Re: autopilot power

Maybe the Auto pilot master switch is off. Have you tried pressing Z on the keyboard at all? I've noticed that the STEC 55X is off by default, and needs to be turned on in this way. Maybe the auto pilot you are using needs the same?

Just a thought okay.

Re: CTD when choosing options (CTRL+SHIFT+#)

I don't think this issue is specifically BirdDog related, as it has never happened to me. I notice you are running Windows 7 64 bit, and a friend of mine can't use the <shift><ctrl># because he can't turn it off with <shift><ctrl>0. The stores still stay on the wing until he reloads the plane. Wheth...

Re: Surprise!

As the Sibwings version doesn't have a parking brake lever in the VC, I very much doubt there will be a water rudder lever. It's either <ctrl>w or a joystick button I reckon. Finally got around to installing this, and did a quick circuit. Feels very nice, sits nicely on the water, and handles pretty...

Yeah plus 1 for that Ron. The contrast is very nice indeed. I vote for the second shot Andrey ;) It's a very good shot.

Re: Pre Amphibian update

I was talking to my friend about this yesterday, as he has the same plane with the same issue, and he told me he got over it by making a pop up window with a VOR gauge in it. I've bought a load of gauges from Simflyer (I think) and I've now done the same as him. I have a pop up window with a VOR gau...

Re: Pre Amphibian update

I can't remember the runway off hand. But I have tried this at EGMC runway 24 ILS freq. 111.35 Runway Heading 234.17 This is my home airport and I do all my testing there. As the needle comes in and I turn to runway heading 234 at about 2 miles out, as soon as I'm on runway heading and the needle go...

Pre Amphibian update

Dear Andrey, I have looked for my issues and whether there will be corrections in the next update, and I can't find any references. I see you are working on an amphibian version for the BirdDog, so I'd like to ask if you intend to fix the ILS needle problem, or indeed if you are aware of it? Basical...

Re: GPS

I just found this by accident, but I think what Ron is talking about is only half correct. The reason the GPS probably isn't working for some people is down to the "Avionics" being switched off. There is no avionics switch in the bird dog, but you can still toggle the avionics through FSX keyboard s...

Re: parking brakes

Hi Blackace, I'm lucky with the controllers I have, it's an X52 Pro + CH Rudder pedals. Mixture, props, carb heat, and throttle all set. Trim, fuel tanks, battery, alternator, lights, fuel pump, flaps all setup. About the only thin that isn't is the Engine primer. Apart from that function, I never u...

Re: parking brakes

I know it's not realistic, but I set up a joystick button. In fact there is nothing from start up to shut down that I need that isn't on the joy stick. I never need to touch the keyboard for normal flight :)

Re: Open door policy, so to say...

Nope haven't noticed this at all. Have you tried the FSX "Refuel and Repair" function to see if it sorts it out? If you haven't got a key bound to the command, temporarily bind one to check if it solves the problem. Maybe it will help who knows :)

They will be compatible, just change that line to the correct "sim=" and they should work again.

Re: Repaints Flight Model cannot launch

My guess is it's looking for the wrong (dot)air file. Check the text for the paint that doesn't work, and compare that text with an original paint that DOES work.

I've even had this error on Patches and fixes believe it or not, some other companies just don't do proper testing.

Re: Support request (flaps)

Thank you Alexander for your reply. I took a lot of time testing this issue, as stated in my original post, so it's nice to know someone is working on it. If I can give you any more information, please don't hesitate to ask. Although I'm not into development, I'm pretty good at finding things that d...

Support request (flaps)

Hi, I've got the update for the Dog, and since the update the flaps sound no longer synchronise with the animation. I realise that this is an on-going fault, and has bee posted elsewhere, but not specifically in its own thread. It is my wish to keep any information regarding this issue in one place....

Re: Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog flight behaviour

Also, I am using the Logitech MX Revolution, and have this same issue. I reassigned the "press the wheel" to the "D" button using the SetPoint facility, but haven't tried it yet. Cheers. This wouldn't actually give the results mos is looking for I'm afraid. The "D" button function appears to work, ...
