Re: Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog flight behaviour

Now why the hell couldn't one of the developers come on the forum and say that? Nobody is too busy to take two minutes to make a post! Instead we're treated as if we don't matter. Hey, maybe we don't.
You wouldn't believe how hard I'm hitting these keys! :x

Re: Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog flight behaviour

When I say sync I mean: Press lever for first notch of flaps; flaps sound and animation start together; flaps stop at first notch; sound continues for another 4-5 seconds. W7 64 bit, onboard sound whatever it is. It's not the sound system, I've dug out the swflaps.wav file and played it, it lasts 7 ...

Re: Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog flight behaviour

 I would NEVER, in a month of Sundays, guessed that. I take off, I go where I'm going, I land. I don't go looking for trouble. But I'll take your word for it. As long as they fix the flaps sound.

Any day now!

Re: Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog flight behaviour

If that's how she is with you then maybe they have updated the current download. Mine was as I described but I was given an early testing .air and .cfg files which turned it round. (can't remember where I got the files from now  ) Anyway, I'm delighted you like it. :) Tell me, does the flaps s...

Re: Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog flight behaviour

Hi TC, you're right in most respects but tell me, can you take off and land without too much 'excitement'? Taking off is like wrestling an octopus, it can be done, but it's not pretty! Landing it very often spoils a nice day mooching around the mountains and valleys by dumping you unceremoniou...

Re: Nothing to do with updates

This is the position as per FSX map: N47° 24.10 W120° 12.42 (somewhere in Washington state)
Google Earth didn't recognise that format so I put in: 47° 24.10N 120° 12.42W (High Street Manilla)

And stop laughing at my plight you unsympathetic buggers!

Paul, go and test something!

Re: Nothing to do with updates

Well that IS interesting because I made a note of the coordinates from the FSX map and entered them in Google Earth. Apparently I ended up in High Street, Manilla, Phillipines!

Nothing to do with updates

This evening I made a flight from Vashon Island (just love that municipal!)to Darrington WA, in my battered BirdDog. I've made the trip several times, but with the safety net of GPS and a flight plan and going the other way. Tonight, feeling a bit cocky, I thought I'd try something a little differen...

Re: I know I'm...

The people that were on their way to Moscow are back. I've told them there's nothing to see here so move on. Didn't like the way they looked at me!

Re: I know I'm...

I also dislike feeling that I am obligated to field questions that are the responsibility of the devs. Regards, Indeed. As a tester you presumably are in touch with them on a fairly regular basis. Put a flea in their ear! I've been waiting for an answer( any answer) to an issue I have with the Safi...

Re: GPS disappears in SafirB

(find the location of GPS and change to default FSX or payware) and your done, until "maybe" an update. MOS That reads easier than it is. All the panel.cfgs are the same for all Safirs. It's got 'big fail' writ large on it if I go poking around stuff I don't understand. I understand your reticence ...

Re: GPS disappears in SafirB

I've just read all your posts Mos and the only reference to GPS I can find is about no reflections. That's not my the problem I have, but thanks for your input. :)

Re: Landing gear

Alexander, you were spot on. Raising the 'gear' puts out the fire. but how to overcome this? I'ce looked in all the aircraft.cfgs and they all look to be the same. You can see that the model is ski-less. Got me beat! The weird thing is that when you raise the skis the sound of them being raised play...

Re: Landing gear

Wey hey! two responses, one is too cheeky by half and the other comes up with what looks like the answer. I'll have a poke around. Many thanks. Now get onto my disappearing GPS.
