LN-MAZ ready
Hello Safir pilots, the LN-MAZ is ready and has been sent to Alex. With this one I tried a bit of texturing to give the aluminum a bit of a battered look, a few dents and bruises: http://www.freeweb.siol.net/dolanec4/lnmaz1.jpg A bit of dirt on the trims and flaps: http://www.freeweb.siol.net/dolane...

Wow, wonderful, gorgeous shots, Antonio, Nick and Kofi! :) I especially like the one with the rafinery at LOWW. Here are a few of mine from Avsim, edited for colors and contrast. http://www.freeweb.siol.net/dolanec4/Sa1.jpg http://www.freeweb.siol.net/dolanec4/Sa2.jpg http://www.freeweb.siol.net/dol...

Thanks, I'll be careful with the shine. :) Somehow, too much polish doesn't look good on the Safir. I applied a gentle texture to give it a bit of a battered look and so far it looks good. Eagle: I have seen the pictures, thanks. In fact, the first one is about the only photo I found where one can s...

Preview of LN-MAZ repaint
Hi, another repaint, this time of a D model, LN_MAZ. Should be ready in a few days. I know, the curtains should be red. ;) http://www.freeweb.siol.net/dolanec4/ln_maz1.jpg http://www.freeweb.siol.net/dolanec4/ln_maz2.jpg I would like some comments, please, as to how much shine should I apply to this...

Ferror: 8 megapixels? Wow... :) Hm, I did make the PH-RLA a tad too orangy, yes. :( I'll see if I can make it a bit more reddish and update the package. On the other hand, are you sure that the G-HRLK was not painted? In the attached picture there's a clear difference between the two. If you compare...

Both repaints have been sent to Alex... :) Håkan: I trust I will find the time to do the repaint you mentioned. It indeed looks beautiful! Ferror: thanks for the pictures! I hope I got the PH-RLA right. :) Steve: I hear ya... :) Coffee, some nice music and Safir paintkit is a great combination. But ...

Alex, great, I will prepare the packages and send them today. :) Thank you! Kofi & Steve, thank you for the kind words! :) With the regular D model the 'hump' behind the cockpit on top of the fuselage isn't correctly painted when using the HB-DBL's S91_texture02_T.bmp. There's an engine 'grill' pain...

PH-RLA and G-HRLK repaints ready
More or less, on the PH-RLA a couple of tiny inscriptions are missing (on the fuselage, close to to the tail, bottom), so if anyone has access to hi-res pictures, I'd be grateful to know what is written there. :) To the Sibwings team: Where can I upload the packages? http://freeweb.siol.net/dolanec4...

Thanks for the kind words... :) ...and the pictures! I think I can do all three Safirs and put them into one package. I'm practically done with the G-HRLK, found all bits and pieces, so the other two shouldn't be too big a project. :D Where should I send the repaint(s)? I usually use the AVSIM libra...

Thanks for the comment Andrey :) The rivets will be toned down, I have lots of sandpaper  and I will remove the tank thingie  I still have to find a few things in the paintkit, you guys have really used all the available space and sometimes it's not that easy to find where to splash a bit...

Repaint of Safir D G-HRLK preview
Hi Safir pilots,
I'm painting the G-HRLK Safir, should be finished in a few days. Took me a looong time to align the blacks&reds&whites on the nose!
Still some things to finish, but it should be done in a few days.
Here's a preview...
Regards,
Jure
