Looks Great as usual Bill. The humps are at the top right of Sheet 01. Just to the left of the landing light. (smile) Yea.... it took me a while to figure it out.

Best wishes,

Well.... I just took a run out to the local airport on a "Field Trip" sort of expedition. (smile..... at least that's the story I told my wife.) I've come to the same conclusion as you Hakan.... however, looking at my current paint I must make some adjustments. I'm just not exactly sure what I will ...

Okay..... made a couple of "quick" adjustments.... however, I'm not sure if I'm happy with it or not. While it looks "MORE" like fabric I remember (it's been a while).... it still is picking up more shine on the turns than I'd care for it to. Anyway... I may end up redoing the wing area and see if I...

Hakan - Thank You so much for that bit of information. As stated earilier, I've never seen a Safir in person...... and while it appeared the control services may be fabric..... I hadn't given too much consideration as yet. I will now make the necessary adjustments. Many thanks again!!! Best wishes, ...

Knorren - Thankyou very much. I hope Franco can now translate into Italian. (smile) Here's a few more shots off the port wingtip..... I know it's hard to see the actual aluminum shine in a picture. But it's starting to pick up the reflections nicely. A little more tweaking here and there.... a few f...

Franco - Many thanks!!! This will help much. I actually made very good progress today so hopefully I can post some screen shots later this evening or tomorrow. Additional wording I could use translated: JORDAHAR FLYGBENSIN (On wings..... maybe near the fueling ports) GLOM EJ HUVLASNINGEN (Right Rear...

Thanks Bill..... As you can tell, the tail is not quite right along with the nose. In fact.... I had used your paint as a quick template just to throw some paint on her to see if it would be within my capabilities. There's several parts of the paint kit that I still need to figure out where/what it ...

There is still very much to do and having never seen a Safir here in the states I'm not sure of exact markings etc. However, as long as no one is too paticular I will try to get this finished up and posted this next week. Hopefully I can figure some of the paintkit stuff out.

Take care.

Franco..... I just painted a D model very similiar which could be changed very easily. Do you or anyone else have any other photos or close up shots of the aircraft markings?

Take care,
Steve

Hello all,

Yes, I too would be interested, however, sometimes the time zone diff. makes flying on line a little difficult. (-8GMT) But I did say difficult.... not impossible. (smile)

Great idea.

Andrey, What a GREAT story. I too believe like others that Aerosoft made a critical miscalculation on this one. (smile) I purchase many aircraft each year as I'm hopelessly addicted to FS.... however; I think maybe the good folks at SW-lab have cured me. Since purchasing I have been unable to fly an...

Jure, I think you'll really like the IR Tracker... as I said.... I don't think I could fly without it now. Kankakee huh? My wife is actually from down south (Sullivan, IL.) so I've always flown around that area along with Mattoon. I've flown the route so many times from Champaign to Chicago that I k...

Jure - You're paints are WONDERFUL.... and my friend, you can not be called a "dabbler." (smile) SubLogic... now that's a name I hadn't heard for awhile. I still have all of their add on scenery disk on 5 1/4 1.2 Meg format. (smile) I actually drove back to Champaign Illinois on vacation one year ju...

Jure..... Yes I've noticed the same on the paint kit as I "dabble" a little with some painting. (Good cup of coffee and a nice paint-kit is very good therapy in my old age...... Smile) With that said, however, I learned many years ago..... there are "dabblers" and then there are true "Masters"..... ...

Oh.... that's a good question. I'm waiting for FSX to come out first before I purchase my new computer (around the first of the year)..... so does that mean that this is only a 1 time shot and then you have to re-purchase? OR..... can I save this to disk and just copy it over to the other computer? ...

Mike..... for what it's worth.... I'm just a fan of the Safir the same as you. I have nothing or no ties to these folks at all. However, You're my hero partner. Normally, I'd agree, but the VC is no place to be `reaching` all the way across to the other side of the cokcpit to make knob-twiddling changes when you've just been asked by ATC to drop to 3,000, make a turn to 120 and keep an eye on the Cessna at 8 o'clock... Then, it's just a pain in the Safir.....
