Re: An-2 Loadmanager

Nice One!

But does it have to be a live link with FSUIPC and FSX running? These are simply writing to the FSX.cfg so values could also be written before starting the sim?

If it does have to be a live link how does one access it from within FSX? Is it in a dropdown menu?

Development plan?

So, what's the range development plan? Floats and Ski's, I guess. but anything else for optional users? The FDE is so good it just cries out for additional features like oil consumption, oil and filter changes, maintenance module and the like - in the style of Accu-Sim. Those old radials take a good...

Re: AN-2 engine fire/overheat!

One is for the cowl flaps - self evident when they are opening as they're in the line of sight. The other is for the oil shutter - there's a gauge above the carb heat/fuel shutoff lever to tell you how open the flap is. Obviously, use cowl flaps to keep cylinder head temps under control. Use oil shu...

Re: Tail wheel question

First question: Have you opened the pneumatic valve, left of Pilots seat? Do you have pressure on the brake gauge, similar location?

Next, use nose down elevator to ease the weight on the tailwheel.

Do these suggestions help?

Almost all the annotations on my panel are English. Gauges are of course, in Russian. Not sure what you are seeing?

Re: What plane is this ?

Well I'm impressed even if no one else is. Unless you actually knew this from the start, that must have taken some research to find it. Yep, knew it. The only UK example was at a fly-in I flew into in 2008 or 2009 after a rebuild that was completed in 2007 http://www.brecklandstrut.co.uk/galleries/...

So you mean SF3? It's included in the package. Select from the dropdown aircraft menu as normal.

if not, which one do you mean?

Re: Pre Amphibian update

You have checked to make sure - positive - that the runway you were aiming for doesn't have an offset ILS..?

Possibly best to try this at a default airport then report your findings so we can try it and see if its repeatable.

Re: Rudder effectiveness

No testing methodology or system specs so how are we supposed to view this as a `finding`? Could be that the controller being used for rudder is rubbish, there's an awful crosswind, or there are other factors at play, such as rudder overbalancing, which of course cannot be felt in FS. Or it could be...

Re: Rudder effectiveness

Rudder overbalance, maybe..? Not a lot of fin area on this bird and a relatively short moment arm. I find I don't need much foot travel to keep the ball centred

Re: Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog flight behaviour

Yes all in all, its much better, but I still have a few complains about flight behaviour, (when we go fore the extreme) but for all day flying, it's much better. And the gyro-compass, is still jamming and spinning after a loop, (maybe it's normal in a Bird-Dog)?). The contact point of wingtip isn't...

Re: Great Dog!

Thanks Hermannk1, for bringing the other side of the story. The Bird Dog isn't perfect - SibWings know this, but like with the Safir you can rely on them to improve and solve problems, but it has to be said that simmers problems are sometimes the fault of something beyond the installation of a produ...

I didn't pay for mine. But then I DO offer suggestions and contributions to help with updating and problem-solving. You will accept, will you not, that it is rather strange to be piggy-backing everyone elses criticisms when you have made none of your own? Not even to justify or validate someone else...

Re: When will the update be published ??

I've reviewed your post history Madia84, and find no evidence that YOU have ever had a problem? So my question to you is, what's your agenda? If there is no agenda, then why have you not detailed your system specs, and precisely what your problem is? And why do you hide behind an anonymous alias and...

Re: Annoying sound after returning to VC.

As I suspected, the cause is system resource related. Your 9600GT card is simply starving the visual resources, leaving none for the rest of your system to cope with the requirements of the sound cones in FSX - priority is offered first to visuals and only what remains can be directed to sound manag...

Re: Engine wont start... problems, help please!

Yeah, that's how I view it too. To be honest, I've flown several crates in the last few months that have needed hand-swinging. We've had such bad weather for flying in the UK that aircraft have been ground-bound for months rather than weeks and plane batteries don't like cold, wet weather. Consider ...

This probleme has been fixed from bad to worse. Now I have this soundproblem in outside- frontal view. Also in tower- view. No matter, whether the engine is running or not. And the plane starts bouncing up and down. Please show content of the FSX .cfg. (Exclude Gauge permissions and any information ...

Re: Fatal crashes

Can you provide details of the error message. And also what modifications, if any, have been made to default FSX files - starting with the FSX.cfg

Please also confirm you begin your flight sim session with a default flight, using a default aircraft, before switching to the Birddog.
