Renato, it looks stunning !

Beautiful shots!
But isn't it a 91B in the shots, with fuselage tank and all ?

I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the whole package. there seems to be something wrong. My VOR and directional gyro works just fine after the update and I guess that the fifth cylinder on the EGT/CHT indicator shows ambient temperature (OAT) which can useful at times. The VSI is a bit fishy...

Hi Marcus,

Have you downloaded and installed the update in the freeware section?
It takes care of most of your remarks.

Thank you Zane,

I guess we need some Safir flying after all that Piper stuff

Hopefully I will get a closer look at SE-EDD during this spring so we'll see if the paintwork is correct or not.

SE-EDD repaint

After many hours of hard work I have finally managed to repaint the C-model. It wasn't easy at all to figure out where all the bits and pieces were hidden  The files were sent to Alex a few minutes ago. SE-EDD is a Safir c, manufactured in 1954 with serial number 91.318 I have repainted it fro...

Wonderful, it works !

Guess what, it was the alpha layers that I screwed up when I was converting the files.
Thank you for your help Andrey !

I will fix a few bits and pieces before SE-EDD is ready for release.

Thanks Renato,
I'm looking forward to download D-EREK as soon as it turns up !

SE-EDD was actually SAAB:s own aircraft until recently.
It was only flown by the "top brass" at SAAB and a couple of the test pilots. I've repainted it purely from memory since I have no photos of it.

Thank you Andrey !

Can you please confirm that S91_texture01_C.bmp should be 1024x1024 in 24 bit format and that S91_texture05_T.bmp should be 512X512 in DXT3 format?

Another repaint. help needed

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm working on a repaint of a 91C Safir, but I'm stuck at the moment. Since it's a C model I'm trying to modify the panel of SE-KVZ so I can put in a couple of labels with the right registration. Whatever I do goes completely wrong  Which bitmaps should I modify and which ...

SE-KYF livery

Here is my first repaint of a Safir 91B, SE-KYF. I'm no god at all at repaints but I thougt I'd give it a try anyway. The files has been sent to Alex today and I hope he won't reject them SE-KYF is a Safir B, manufactured in 1953 with serial number 91.249. For forty years it served in the Swedish Ai...

Here is another link to a pic where SE-AUR is present: It was taken on September 3 2005. It's a quite unique picture since all four versions of the Safir is flying in formation. A, B, C and D ! Do I need to tell you that the pic was taken from a fifth Safir http://www.sff.n.se/images_aktu_2005/2005-...

Andrey, I'm glad that I could be of some use, It's hard to find any bugs on the visual model but sometimes I get lucky :wink In the mean time I'll carry on with SE-KYF instead, It's a B-model and much easier to get right. There is just one little thing that I cant seem to get right and that is the r...

Hi Andrey, It helped just a little bit. I discovered that the colour of the filler cap/tank pressurization cap on the right wing is actually the colour of the position lights ! If I get the correct yellow colour on the tank vent the port position light also becomes yellow. This anomally also applies...

Another repaint on the way

Since there are so few textures for the C-model I'm having a go at repaints. It's far from finished yet but I hope I will find out how to fix the little errors that appear in the pic.

Happy New Year to all of you !

It must be very tricky to get the right shine on silver dope. My knowledge about alpha layers is at a beginners level so I can not be of any assistance. Maybe it's easier to pretend that the whole aircraft has a layer of metallic silver paint all over it? Silver dope must be tricky to accomplish sin...
