Re: Paint kit and Repaints

To all the painters here a mega massive WELL DONE! They are fantastic! I have more or less stopped both painting and simming due to an injury, but the Birddog has so many pretty dresses I just knew she was going to go to the ball. I will not be back "online" for a while still to come so I won't be a...

Re: How to slip with this plane?

I have read feedback from a real Birddog pilot that the rudder does indeed lack a bit in authority. You can slip the Birddog though. Yes, it is a pig to slip, but she does sink like a brick when you have a slip set. It is just not as visibly pronounced as in, say, a Slingsby T21 (my real world exper...

Re: Looping sounds, spinning

I would guess that the float rudder lever is down on the floor - out of sight - which is a common place for the water rudders. Shortest possible cable run and ease of removal when you go back to wheels. There are other sim-planes with this issue and that is why Microsoft invented the "Water Rudder" ...

Re: Broken gyro

Is there any way to cage the directional gyro? It only takes a steep dive or bank and the gyro spins uncontrollably. If the real aircraft didn't have that function then fair enough but it doesn't seem to take much to break it and I would have thought it was a little more rugged than that in reality...

Re: Engine damage?

171 cubic inches against 471 too - the O470 is also more complex an engine... But both are as reliable as anything. Although personally I preferred the 540 Lycoming to work on. Side slip? Well, those who can't get the dog to slip need to practice. She needs a fine hand on the controls. Same with slo...

Re: L-19 - night photo wanted

Have you done an airliners.net search using flight decks as the search option and "night" as the text entry?

There's one of a Cessna 182: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Cessna-182P/0644140/L/

And then you just need the red-light textures and white-light textures... or effects

Re: L-19 - night photo wanted

I've only ever done night flying in helicopters. BUT I suggest separate darker (night) textures vor the VC. Even driving a car at night, the "cockpit" is almost completely black with only the instruments lit, and if you have the red lights on, then everything should have a sick red hue and not still...

Re: Release

"Shouting" won't help, and besides, it's rude. On the other hand, something has obviously delayed or stopped further action with the Bird Dog. Whatever has prevented the Sibwings team from answering, it is fairly "serious". Rather than shout, complain, demand, how's about some tolerance? Until the S...
