New 21st RAC Repaint Available

Based upon a photo (circa 1969) provided by Blackace 16/Catkiller44, Jim Hodkinson has faithfully reproduced another outstanding Vietnam-era Army Bird Dog. The subject aircraft (0-14950) belonged to the 21st Reconnassiance Airplane Company - a sister company to the 220th RAC. In 1969 a platoon of th...

220th RAC Repaint

At my request Jim Hodkinson has just completed another detailed Bird Dog repaint. This time the subject aircraft is a restored F Model in the livery of the U.S. Army's Vietnam-era 220th Reconnaissance Airplane Company. As most everyone probably knows, the 220th RAC was the subject of Jim Hooper's gr...

New Marine Corp OE-1 Repaint

Talented painter Jim Hodkinson has just completed an intricate repaint of Marine Bird Dog N68VN. This very detailed skin is based on the authentic A Model L-19 - what the U.S. Marine Corps designated as the OE-1. The real N68VN was manfactured in 1952, serial number 22773. It is currently owned and ...

A Model ADF Operation

Can someone tell me the "secret" to working the ADF in the A Model? I can use the mouse wheel to rotate between various ADF modes (Off, ADF, ANT), but regardless of mode selected I can't get the actual frequency digits to change with mouse clicks or wheel

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What repaint would you like to have?

In spite of the fact that they flew the Charlie and some hand-me-down USAF Golf models, a nice O-1F repaint of a Marine Vietnam-era VMO-6 Bird Dog would be a welcomed addition. Please see several photos at the IBDA link below. http://www.ibdaweb.com/view/123 These birds were "USMC green", with the d...

System Requirements

Like a lot of others, the economy has forced me to be very careful and selective about add-on purchases. In the Bird Dog manual there seems to be a wide margin between the minimal system specs and recommended specs, e.g., 2GB vs. 4 GB of RAM; 2 Ghz vs. 3 GHz processors. I would like to purchase the ...
