The sim wasn't even in design when this bird was released and the developers have been absent for years.

No the immaturity is in assuming that the 38 views were made by the developers when you had no right or ability to makes such a judgement. Next, your inability to recognise that our `hello's` were actually to ensure the topic is seen as containing a fresh post and moved back to the top of the pile. ...

Re: FSX ctd on loading screen
snave, you should really just stop saying it has been covered, i have not once seen someone specifically showing how to get the an-2 to work in steam, theres p3d sure, but nowhere does it say anything about steam edition, i wonder what would happen if someone with the boxed edition needed support h...

Re: Ground Handling
The issue is as you say related to the ground friction defined within the sim itself, and FSUIPC can affect most things, but not this one - the issue isn't one of typical `friction in the fore/aft plane versus the lateral one` that FSUIPC and sim1.dll revisions set out to address, it's in the rotati...

Re: Ground Handling
No aircraft pivots around a locked wheel - that way disaster lies as you strip the tyre from the rim. And that's as true for the AN-2 as for a B747. So your fundamental problem lies with your braking, not your steering. Taildraggers can be persuaded to lift some weight off the back end by the single...

Re: Re - Download AN2
Download link no use without the key, so you need to wait for the developers to respond. However, if no changes have been made to the system the hardware fingerprint might not have changed from the original activation email and the email also contains the download location. You still have that, sure...

Re: FSX ctd on loading screen
Install Simconnect files. Manually edit the xml.dll file.
This has been covered in this forum numerous times, no need to repeat it again.

Re: Flight dynamics update V2.3 - public beta testing
About as much use as a fart in spacesuit, your post: "FSX doesn't start up" - be more specific OS, sim variant, error message, detailed description of what the hell you are talking about, that kind of thing. There is no error in update files. So what is going wrong is down to you or your sim - or mo...

FSX.exe - right click - propertiesTobus wrote:I'm a little confused here: I have the same issue with FSX:SE, the AN2 working flawlessly on my old boxed install.
How would I be able to run FSX:SE in Vista SP2 mode?
You'll work it out.
Be aware that doing this can actually break other addons.

Re: Save problem in P3Dv3
Well that's a line-by-line way of fixing it - but if you had deleted using the file commands above you wold have recompiled the xml.dll file anyway.
BTW that Carenotado shit does the same messing with that file.

Re: Save problem in P3Dv3
This is the recommended method for upgrading from previous versions of P3D, per Lockheed-Martin. I'm sure you could delete them one at a time and check the sim each time, but deleting them is recommended - these are all temporary files and should be safe to delete as they are simply rebuilt on the n...

Re: An Open Letter to the AN-2 Developers
Admire your enthusiasm, but I fear it is not matched by that of the developers. They did show some teasing shots on the FB page earlier in the year, but there's never been any formal progress announcements, nor have they actually contributed in any meaningful sense to the activity in their own forum...

Re: OOM error when entering cockpit
OOM has nothing at all to do with your RAM or card capacity. You ran out of virtual address space in a 32-bit application. This is NEVER caused by this aircraft, usually you will trace the cause to scenery. You need to troubleshoot that, and in the meantime you may find relief by turning down some s...

To be fair to the absent SibWings, at what point did they EVER suggest compatibility with Steam Edition..?
