Re: Pitts Special!

No need for me to test the textures - I can see th usual Sibwings love in there, but I will take a close look when the time comes.

Beautiful.

As usual.

I have the textures and brushes ready for many others:

Re: Rudder effectiveness

I am afraid I must support Dieter fully in his claim here. The Safir's rudder function is, simply put, wrong.

But I have reported this often enough in beta.

Re: Pitts Special!

You might have seen the "Viper" texture I painted for the Christen Eagle? Well I orriginally wrote to the Pilot - Jason Newburg - and he seems a friendly sort. I may be able to get some specific "feel " answers out of him, and he has a few guys on his show team - and I guess Ione of those might have...

Re: Pitts Special!

Big thumbs up on the appearance. But what are the flight dynamics like? I have it on good authority that the Pitts flies as if on rails.

Re: Pitts Special!

The usual standard of excellence in the 'pit. Will the fuel level pipes work as for real, i.e. with thefule level dropping?

Re: Pitts Special!

I was referring to real world Pitts' - but I wholeheartedly agrre with you about sim-world Pitts.

As you say - the best sim-Pitts so far is the Eagle (I'll say both the LIC And the IRIS versions)

Re: Pitts Special!

well, there are a few six-pot Pittses out there and I am getting permission to do the Pitts Viper (the copyright holder said yes - with conditions) - this one has a 400 HP six-pot engine and the real one is a Pitts, not an Eagle.

Re: Pitts Special!

Oh yes, I appreciate the work involved - I've tried making GMax models and realise how hard it can be.

But of course, the Sibwings name doe usually mean something special.

Re: Pitts Special!

Hmmm, OK, easy on the clipped wings, but as there are so many Pittses out there now, how about going slightly off track and doing either the Challenger variant (Sean Tucker's display plane, or the yellow Bulldog or that lovely Turkish display plane. Yes, I know they are clipped. But as I say, there ...

Re: Safir again !?... YES!

Looking excellent - with just one small not of "suggestion" if I may. Take a look at the Airliners.net images and I agree you have the blue about right, but when you look at the airliners.net images the blue looks darker. This is due to the shadow, which FSX does not do too well. It would be useful ...

Re: Pitts Special!

"That one" is an FS9 and FSX download (I guess you mean the Italian one?) so it might lack spec and bump.

It looks good though...

Maybe Sibwings could do clipped wing versions?

Re: canadian pilot flying an american reg.

OK, then you are probably hoping that the model itself is moved? That is more or less a "no go" I'd guess, since that will involve the 3D model and I know that most model developers don't want all that extra work (which apparently it is). Looking at the textures, there are two sets - pilot.dds and p...

Re: canadian pilot flying an american reg.

Chet, if one of the other "dogs" has a pilot you prefer, then you can copy the pilot textures from that model to the the appropriate version of your choice.

Remember to backup the originals of course.

Re: RESOLVED: BirdDog 1.2 CTD

As for the nVidia drivers - this does seem to be one strange beast. I have had similar crashes with one plane or another in the past. I can't be sure and I am not pointing fingers. But I get the feeling that person A's PC with nVidia driver "B" will work, while a different users PC but with the same...
