Re: I finally found the "key" - "b"-version no more overpowered

You could simply copy the three tables with AirEd from either the "C" oder the "D" and you will get the performance of the "C" with your "B". Important: This only affects the power settings, not the flight model! From what I`ve read all Safirs should reach higher maximum top-speeds so it`s up to you...

Re: D-EREK repaint

Could anyone send me the texture-file for the yellow main wheels? They look so nice, but the download only contains the wings and fuselage textures.

I finally found the "key" - "b"-version no more overpowered

You will find an old thread covering the same problem and since that thread I have spent hours and hours to find a solution for the "b"-version and her rocket-style power. I found a safir flight manual and it is stated that a safir should climb with 4.5 m/s at MSL. The Sibwings safir "b" actually ca...

The beast is tamed... I use the airfile (not aircraft.cfg) from the c-version and the b flies much more according to its specification (climbing at about 4,7 m/s), top speed slightly more than 250 kph. What are the differences between these files? Concerning weight and power I haven`t found any diff...

Not even real world Safir pilots like myself are qualified for beta-testing. I have already read some serious comments from you. You mentioned things still with space for improvments and you can count on your own real-safir-flight-experience - I really don`t know what better beta-tester one could i...

I see. On the other hand I found this review: http://www.simflight.de/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=7396 telling me that the swiss "d" would be underpowered. Roll for take-off about 50 meters too long, cruise speed 90 kn instead of 105 - all with an higher powered engine. Now my question as...

No chance to get the compass caged in the finnish d-version? I really like the special atmosphere of this cockpit, but I also like loops and rolls!

Another question concerning the gyro: The "d"-version, I mean the finnish one, seems to have no lock for the gyro. Making loops is thus not possible, maybe this version has been downgraded to non-aerobatics-category, but in this case I would like to have something like a cheat ;) One question about ...

B-version over-powered?

There`re several subtile differences between the "b", "c" and "d" flight model, we discussed that earlier. Today, I got some input from a real world safir pilot and he mentioned something concerning the "b" one being overpowered. Then I did some tests and compared the different variants (I fly the D...

Sound in model B doesn`t change between 75 to 100% throttle

Unlike the D-version the B-version has no audible change in the engine sound between power settings 75 % and 100 %. This means I cannot hear any difference in engine-sound-pitching during throttle-adaptions. Below 75 % the sound significantly adapts to lower power settings.

Is this wanted?

I'd be honored to be part of the beta testing team, as the email said. Exactly! I would call myself an experienced enough flightsimmer, I fly since the very first flightsims in the 80s. The Sibwings safir project is something I can do identificate with in a very special way, because it represents a...

Concerning the upcoming D-EBED (Lufthansa) model...

About two weeks ago I recieved an e-mail telling me something like I was in the beta team, etc.. I thought of a joke, but after some hours a second e-mail arrived: wrong button would have been pushed, but it would be true, the release of the new D-EBED model would be near. After spending some time h...

EGT-Indicator in D-version: Who can explain?

Hope this has not been discussed, yet, otherwise a link would help. How does the egt-indicator in the D-version work? There are some switches, but I don`t understand their meaning nor am I able to interprete the numbers. I would also be grateful for some hints concerning mixture control in the other...

Disagree completely. You haven't bought ten activations, you've paid for two. What you have bought, my friend, is a licence to install the airplane TWO times, and thereafter the right to further install it ONLY AFTER E-MAIL REACTIVATION. What I signed and understood is not necessarily what I accept...

Today, I read that the instant online reactivation can only be proceeded two times. For further reactivations one would have to email you and wait - perhaps for a whole week, as Mister Einmot-flieger above... I really love your plane and the only reason that I sent credit card details to such a smal...

You need rudder pedals to be able to do slips. If you are only using the joystick twistgrip you cannot apply the consistent and delicate application needed. What rudder pedals do you use, and do you use FSUIPC for calibration? Wrong! I am pretty good in flying with the stick, using the Z-axis for t...

Hi snave, I thought the from you described float-in-on-ground-effect is nothing else than a lift effect, but that doesn`t matter here. To my controller setup: I call myself a serious flightsimmer :-D , so my FS has never seen an autorudder and I did not fly a yaw damper controlled aircraft before. I...
