Thanks Benoit for the info. It seems that the fs9gps.cab WAS missing (how I don't know) but I was able to recover ergo GPS now appears as advertised.

Malfunctioning Updater
I have installed ver 2.3 to the AN2 and as of late, when I fly FSX the updater keeps wanting to update the version of the AN2, I went for it once and all it did was download the Ver 2.1 air file. It didn't change my v2.3 aircraft.cfg file. I deleted the version 2.1 air file and again, when I restart...

I flip switch #38(GPS SWITCH) from the manual and that doesn't help either. I can see the two possible SHIFT + Number Combos if I use SHIFT + 3 (which I know is non functional) but otherwise

GPS PANEL
When I hit SHIFT + 2 the GPS panel doesn't show. For a millisecond, I can see the rough outline of a GPS panel then it disappears. I have to use the FSX map.

How do I turn off that Beeping tone in the coclpit? Sounds like alarm clock going off...
Also the windshield wiper are on, How do I turn them off.

Too Much Smoke
I've seen the thread here about too much smoke and I also am experiencing too much black smoke. When I back off the throttle a bit
the smoke goes to grey. Is there something that can either reduce or eliminate the execessive black smoke?
