Switches not working

I am having an odd issue where I go to flip a switch and it does not move, although you can hear the sound associated with the switch moving. However, if I pause the sim, and then un-pause, the switch will be in the correct position. Also, for the life of me, I cannot get the radio-altimeter knob on...

Also, one more quick question: (something I also may be overlooking) when, in the checklists, it says to remove the control lock, I do so. However, it then says that you need to set the parking brake. I go to set the parking brake but it appears that this also replaces the control lock.

I don't know how much work this would take (and it's purely just nit-picking for Vatsim flying) but is there any possibility that there could be optional altimeters implemented in feet and also that use inches of mercury to display the barometric pressure? I was just hoping for maybe a pop-up gauge ...
