Re: Development plan?

Yes, I'll second the request for a few modern avionics. I love the old gauges, but it would be nice to have one outfitted for IFR flight, or at least with modern radios.

Re: Future ?!

Very cool, Andrey! I'll be interested to see what else you can do with that engine.

Hi Steve, Although it's not to Sib standards (few planes are, after all), I thought I remembered an FS9 version of the 195 being released as freeware a while back. I think it was Joe Binka that did it. Try an Avsim library search for "shakey_jake.zip" and see what comes up. It wasn't bad, as I recal...

The HB-DBL model has a VOR receiver, so that might be what you're looking for. However, at the moment the CDI still swings the wrong way, so you have to factor that in when flying.

Actually, I looked. But it's not readily apparent, as nearly every detail on that paint is some tone of gray ;-). Any help would be appreciated.

Texture question for repainters

I'm working on this RCAF texture for the D model, and I can't locate the trim around the base of the dome atop the fuselage (see screenshot - red circle). I've found the dome itself, but the trim seems to be elsewhere. Anyone who's painted the D model... can you give me a clue where to look?

thanks,

Gentlemen, Those "humps" are not landing gear indicators. They are for positive vent pressure for the fuel tanks. And the fuel caps are also below those humps. Regards, Sjoerd Thanks for putting my straight, Sjoerd. It was just a wild guess on my part, based on their location. I know better now. :P

He gave me this idea and some shots to use as inspiration. I'm still trying to figure out where the landing gear indicator humps on top the wings get their textures, but after that it should be ready for upload.

Requests for patch 2

I'm enjoying my Safirs more and more as the fixes come out. I thought I'd compile a list here of things I'd like to see in future updates. 1. The VOR CDI in HD-DBL seems reversed as far as its deflection in relation to approaching a VOR. 2. The transponder is only tunable via the buttons on the pane...

Beautiful repaint! This one will be perfect for my Alaskan adventures. I'm really having tremendous fun in Tongass and Misty fjords, so I'll say "Thank you" here. :) One thing, though, Bill: you might want to remove the fuel tank from the fuselage. The "D" doesn't have one (As I was reminded by And...

First US Registered 91D Ready

I spent last evening noodling around with the paint kit, and came up with a clean and simple livery in US registration. Although it's hard to tell from the pics, the area below the stripe is polished aluminum -- above it is painted white. I'll upload it soon. Here are some pics. I can do other natio...

I'd like to add that I have a TrackIR too, and agree with Simon 100% on the problem of losing situational awareness when twiddling with the knobs on the Xponder. Here's another situation that's foiled by the particular programming of this unit: I've also got a GoFlight radio stack, including a trans...
