Hello friends!

Right now we are most focused on Safir beta. But all looks like our second product released will be this small, charismatic plane - Pitts Special! And today I'm glad to show some screens.

Now it's too early to talk about beta team, but everyone who have access to real Pitts, who could help with technical and flight manuals, and want to help us in its development - please contact us via forum or e-mail info@sibwings.com

Models\liveries list is open this moment, so any your recommendations\advices are welcome.

Thank you for choosing our products! :)

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Many years ago I worked with a Marine Capt. who owned a beautiful Pitts which actually had belonged to Bruce Jenner I believe. Anyway.... he had one of the flying magazines in which his plane was featured on the cover. Beautiful aircraft and I will anxiously await your model.

Best wishes,
Steve

Oh, and DON'T forget the spec textures! There are plenty of metallics, flip-flop, candy-flake, chromalusion paints out there.

Also remember to map chrome parts on different sheets to gloss paint parts because 3DS can ID each bit as either metal, chrome, paint etc... and each respective surface looks different.

Please, pretty please! The Icarus Pitts is a good stopgap for now:

But if you do yours like you do the Safir (plus of cours the specs), you've got a buyer.

Andrey,

Keep going with the Pitts - The Icarus one has too many failings right now. Despite three skins, I am not happy and eagerly await your Pitts. With spec, alpha channels, dxt5, mapped textures for all surfaces (rather than colouring the model direct)...

Sorry anyone who's waiting

Hey CBris,
Don't forget they also have the Birddog in the development hangar too  Difficult to tell which they'll pursue now that the Safir has been released......

Both, both, both please... pretty please... uncle

I have been well satisfied by Sibwings model quality so far. Despite my moanings about her looks, I have wanted the Safir since the FS9 version was announced - but FSX was on by PC just days later.

The only caveat I have is seeing developers advertise "FULLY FSX COMPATIBLE". That one word "Fully". How often do developers misuse that word (I was going to say lie), By dictionary and legal definition, there aren't many who use that word correctly. I have around 130 or 140 different airtcraft folders on my PC. Dozens of freeware and several payware. I can think of only three payware developers who actually do use and mean the word "Fully"

Realair Sim, Nemeth and Iris as developers

Aerosoft as publishing house - and then not all their X products are "Fully". I think I have more freeware models that "comply". I am very repidly getting P'd off by that simple word. It wastes my money as a painter.

Specular textures are a function of FSX - if these aren't there as separate paint sheets, then "Fully" is not applicable. There are often a few other things still missing on top of that, but I am not going to tell the developers to go read the manual  Still, from my readings so far, there are SDK things that still aren't being applied in "fully fsx compatible aircraft".

And Andrey - I am not singling you out - I am like this with all the other devs too, whose products I add to my hangar. For me, it's better for me to be a PITA if it helps others in the long run, so I am less worried what people think about me personally, all I want is the best sim for everyone.

By the way - the Safir is an excellent plane. I really do enjoy flying her. But painting?

I see there is another Pitts (S-1) has just been relased - is there any news on this one? - my preference is for a S-2 version.

"That one" is an FS9 and FSX download (I guess you mean the Italian one?) so it might lack spec and bump.

It looks good though...

Maybe Sibwings could do clipped wing versions?
